Dhingra wants job back

Suspended superintending engineer (electricity) V.P. Dhingra has termed the UT administration’s decision against revoking his suspension after review “intriguing”. Dhingra in his “seventh” reminder to the administration has sought his reinstatement to the post of SE (electricity).

5 months on, healing still eludes rape victim
Panchkula, March 15
A rape victim, found near the Mansa Devi temple today morning, was admitted to the Civil Hospital in Sector 6. Volunteers of Jeevan Mukt Nishulk Vidyalaya, Panchkula, spotted the woman and took her to the hospital. It was then discovered that she is a patient there and has been admitted to the hospital for more than five months.

Bharat Nirman enters second phase

Structures demolished amidst protest
Chandigarh, March 15
Amidst protest by residents of Dhanas village, here, a team of officials of the Land Acquisition Office carried out a demolition drive on the outskirts of the village today.
The drive was carried out to take over the possession of 162.5 acres of land to construct houses for rehabilitation of slum dwellers.
