Departure: They were appreciably above normal in Himachal Pradesh, appreciably below normal in Haryana and east Uttar Pradesh, below normal in Punjab and west Uttar Pradesh and normal in the rest of the region. The highest temperature in the region was 36.2 degree Celsius recorded at Barmer (Rajasthan).
The lowest temperature in the plains was 10.4 degree Celsius recorded at Adampur (Punjab).
