Car used in robbery recovered

The Jagraon police has succeeded in identifying the kingpin of the gang that had robbed a commission agent of Rs 1.5 lakh after beating him with crude weapons at Abbupur village, near Sidhwan Bet, near here, yesterday.

The Punjab Civil Medical Services Association (PCMSA) has expressed concern over the ‘prevailing crisis’ in the government medical colleges in Punjab, ‘which has created a situation in which the seats for MBBS and PG medical courses might have to be reduced drastically’.
