Rainfall: Rain/thundershowers have occurred at isolated places in Haryana, Himachal Pradesh, Jammu and Kashmir, Punjab, east Rajasthan and east Uttar Pradesh. Weather was dry in the rest of the region.

Temperatures: The maximum temperatures changed little. They were markedly above normal in Jammu and Kashmir, appreciably above normal in Himachal Pradesh, above normal in Haryana and normal in the rest of the region. The highest temperature in the region was 41.6 C recorded at Sultanpur.

Forecast valid until the morning of April 24: Rain/thundershowers are likely at isolated places in Himachal Pradesh, east Uttar Pradesh and Uttarakhand. Isolated dust storm are likely in Haryana, including Chandigarh, Delhi, Punjab and north Rajasthan. Weather will be mainly dry in the rest of the region.

Outlook of the subsequent two days: Rain/thundershowers are likely at a few places in Jammu and Kashmir and isolated places in Himachal Pradesh and Uttarakhand. Weather will be mainly dry in the rest of the region.

Forecast for Delhi and neighbourhood valid until the morning of April 24: Mainly clear sky with possibility of thunder activity towards evening/night. The maximum temperature will be around 40 C.
