Woman complains of Rs 1.87-cr land fraud

The local police has booked five persons, including a coloniser, under Sections 420, 406 and 120 B of the IPC for allegedly duping a woman of Galwatti village of Rs 1.87
crore, the proceeds of land belonging to her.
Riot victim trapped in red tape

Kuldeep Singh, a son of a riot victim, is literally trapped in the proverbial official red tape. Thanks to petty clerical objections raised against his appointment order as a clerk on compassionate grounds two years ago, Kuldeep is yet to join service. And he is not sure when he would be able to.

Martyr’s statue cries for attention
