Rainfall: Rain/thundershowers have occurred at isolated places in east Uttar Pradesh. Weather was mainly dry in the rest of the region.

Temperatures: The maximum temperatures fell appreciably in east Uttar Pradesh. They were markedly above normal in Jammu and Kashmir, appreciably above normal in Himachal Pradesh and Rajasthan, above normal in Haryana and Punjab and normal in the rest of the region. The highest temperature in the region was 43.6 °C recorded at Jhalawar.

Forecast valid until the morning of April 29: Rain/thundershowers are likely at isolated places in east Uttar Pradesh. Isolated dust storm is likely in Rajasthan. Weather will be mainly dry in the rest of the region. Day temperatures are likely to increase over the region with possibility of heat wave over parts of Rajasthan.

Outlook for the subsequent two days: Weather will be mainly dry over the region. Heat wave conditions likely over parts of Haryana, Punjab, Rajasthan and west Uttar Pradesh.

Forecast for Delhi and neighbourhood valid until the morning of April 29: Mainly clear sky. The maximum temperature will be around 41 °C.
