The People for Ethical Treatment of Animals has warned that the conditions under which the poultry and chicken were produced in the country were conducive for the spread of deadly epidemics like bird flu. In a countrywide study released recently, PETA found "sheds containing masses of reeking manure" and showing the conditions under which diseases like bird flu can thrive.
