Rainfall: Weather was dry over the region.

Temperatures: The maximum temperatures rose in Himachal Pradesh, Punjab and Uttaranchal and changed little elsewhere. They were markedly above normal in Himachal Pradesh and Jammu and Kashmir, appreciably above normal in Haryana, Punjab and Rajasthan, above normal in west Uttar Pradesh and Uttaranchal and normal in the rest of the region. The highest temperature in the region was 43.9°C recorded at Dholpur and Sriganganagar (Rajasthan).

Forecast valid until the morning of April 30: Dust storm/thunderstorm likely at isolated places in Uttar Pradesh. Dust storm is likely at isolated places in Haryana, Punjab and Rajasthan. Weather will be mainly dry in the rest of the region.

Outlook for the subsequent two days: Mainly dry weather.

Forecast for Delhi and neighbourhood valid until the morning of April 30: Mainly clear sky with possibility of dust storm towards evening/night. The maximum temperature will be around 42°C.
