(WSSB) has suspended a junior engineer (JE) and a sub-divisional officer
(SDO) after the detection of a scam in the laying of a sewer line under the HUDCO scheme at Karnail Singh Nagar and Passi Nagar on the Pakhowal road here.

Cong leaders aided VAT fraud: Sahni

Chief parliamentary secretary for excise and taxation and senior BJP leader Jagdish Sahni has charged Congress functionaries and the previous government with aiding and abetting the VAT fraud worth several
crores. He alleged that senior Congress leaders in the outgoing government had siphoned off huge amounts of money in the auction of liquor vends.
