One day, I went to a land Which was a very friendly-looking land And there I saw a queue In which the people were not few They all were buying lottery tickets I also decided to buy one To see how lucky was I The result came The highest lottery was of ten crores They displayed it on the board All the people gathered there I was left alone Itoo came to see my luck And could not believe my luck I had won ten crores As they kept the cheque in my hand I named the land "Lucky land" Surbhi Bansal, VI-A, St Joseph’s Convent Secondary School, Bathinda A captive He despises a captive’s life. Was he always wrong, Or was that judgement not right. Only he knows it best The difference between darkness and light Or you may ask a blind man, Who has never seen the colours Of his life. He remains chained in that dark cell. Now he can’t imagine anything worse than this hell. But he still hopes that he may never Be taken as a prisoner He will remain firm to tell the truth And will ask the Almighty if he Could get back those precious Years of his life Where did he go wrong, Divya Sharma, XI Dayanand Public School, Shimla |
