Temperature: The maximum temperature rose appreciably in Jammu and Kashmir, fell markedly in east Uttar Pradesh, fell appreciably in west Uttar Pradesh, fell in Haryana and changed little elsewhere. They were appreciably above normal in Jammu and Kashmir, above normal in east Rajasthan, largely below normal in east Uttar Pradesh, appreciably below normal in west Uttar Pradesh, below normal in Haryana and Punjab and normal in the rest of the region. The highest temperature in the region was 44.1°C recorded at Rawatbhata (Rajasthan).
Forecast valid until the morning of May 15: Rain/thundershowers likely at isolated places in Himachal Pradesh and Uttranchal. Isolated dust storm/thunderstorm is likely in Haryana, Punjab and Rajasthan. Weather will be mainly dry in the rest of the region.
Outlook for the subsequent two days: A western disturbance is likely to affect northwest India on May 16. Under its influence rain/thundershowers are likely at a few places in Himachal Pradesh, Jammu and Kashmir and Uttranchal. Dust storms/thunderstorms are likely at a few places in the rest of the region.
