A local boy, Amandeep Singh, has brought laurels to the region by clearing the Civil Services exams, result of which was declared yesterday. He got 321st rank.
Son of teacher couple Kuldip Singh and Sukhjit Kaur, Amandeep studied at government schools before getting an electronics degree from Chandigarh Engineering College here in 2003.
Body found
Panchkula, May 15
An unidentified 50-year-old man was found dead in Chandikotla village in Chandimandir here today. The body was spotted by a passerby who informed the police. Since there are no injury marks or wounds on the body, it is being presumed that he died of a medical ailment. For now, his body has been placed in the mortuary.
