Varun tops tricity with 97.1%

When Varun Sood got the news that he had topped the tricity by securing 97.1 per cent marks in the ICSE class X examination, the results of which were declared today, he was participating in the St Stephen’s Carrom Ranking Tournament and grabbed the juniors’ title.

In ISC, it’s Prerna
Chandigarh/Mohali, May 19
Prerna Chandla of St Xavier’s Senior Secondary School, Sector 44, topped in the city schools by securing 96 per cent marks in the class XII (commerce stream) of the Indian School Certificate (ISC) examination, the results of which were declared today. An elated Prerna said, “I am very excited; I was expecting it.”

Seventeen persons have been arrested for illegal mining in the Morni area. The arrested workers are the employees of Dinesh Kumar Bansal, who had been awarded the contract for making a road in the area by the Haryana public works department.

1,276 registered in verification drive
