Rainfall: Rain/thundershowers occurred at many places in Haryana, at a few places in west Rajasthan, east Uttar Pradesh and Uttaranchal and at isolated places in Himachal Pradesh.Weather was dry in the rest of the region. The chief amounts of rainfall in cm are: Hisar 4, West Rajasthan, Bikaner and Churu 1 each,

Temperature: The maximum temperature fell appreciably in Jammu and Kashmir, east Uttar Pradesh, and in Punjab. The temperature was largely below normal in east Uttar Pradesh, appreciably below normal in west Uttar Pradesh, below normal in Uttaranchal, above normal in Himachal Pradesh and normal in the rest of the region. The highest temperature in the region was 44.5°C recorded at Swai Madhopur (Rajasthan).

Forecast till morning of May 22: Rain/thundershowers are likely to take place at few places in Himachal Pradesh, Jammu and Kashmir, Uttar Pradesh and Uttarachal. Isolated dust storm/thunderstorm is likely to occur in the rest of the region.

Outlook for subsequent two days: No large change.

Forecast for Delhi/neighbourhood till morning of May 22: Mainly clear sky likely to be partly cloudy with possibility of thunderstorm towards evening/night
