Rainfall: Rain/thundershowers have occurred at most places in Uttarakhand, at many places in Haryana and Himachal Pradesh, at a few places in Punjab and at isolated places in Jammu and Kashmir, west Rajasthan and west Uttar Pradesh. Weather was mainly dry in the rest of the region. The chief amounts of rainfall in cm are: West Uttar Pradesh: Bareilly 1; and Uttarakhand: Mukteshwar 2. Temperatures: The maximum temperatures fell markedly in Uttarakhand, fell appreciably in Haryana, Himachal Pradesh, Punjab and west Uttar Pradesh, fell in east Uttar Pradesh and changed little elsewhere. They were markedly below normal in Punjab and Uttarakhand, appreciably below normal in Haryana, Himachal Pradesh and Jammu and Kashmir, below normal in west Uttar Pradesh and normal in the rest of the region. The highest temperature in the region was 44° recorded at Varanasi City (Uttar Pradesh).

Forecast valid until the morning of May 29: Rain/thundershowers are likely at a few places in Himachal Pradesh, Jammu and Kashmir and Uttarakhand and at isolated places in Haryana, Punjab and Uttar Pradesh. Isolated dust storm/thunderstorm is likely in the rest of the region. Isolated thunder squall is likely in Haryana, Himachal Pradesh and Uttarakhand during the next 24 hours.
