Rainfall: Rain and thundershowers have occurred at isolated places in Haryana, Himachal Pradesh, Jammu and Kashmir and Rajasthan. Weather was mainly dry in the rest of the region. The chief amounts of rainfall in cm are: Himachal Pradesh: Kalpa, Palampur and Shimla and East Rajasthan: Udaipur AP 1 and West Rajasthan: Barmer 1.

Temperatures: Maximum temperatures rose appreciably in west Uttar Pradesh, Haryana, Jammu and Kashmir and Uttaranchal and changed little elsewhere. They were below normal in Jammu and Kashmir and Punjab, below normal in Himachal Pradesh and normal in the rest of the region. The highest temperature in the region with 42.4C was recorded at Dholpur and Jhalawar (Rajasthan).

Forecast valid until the morning of May 31, 2007: Rain/thundershowers are likely at a few places in Himachal Pradesh, Jammu and Kashmir and Uttaranchal and at isolated places in Haryana and Punjab. Isolated dust storm/thunderstorm is likely in the rest of the region. Isolated thundersqualls are likely in Haryana, Himachal Pradesh, Punjab and Uttaranchal.

Outlook for the subsequent two days: Weather will be mainly dry over the region.

Forecast for Delhi and neighbourhood valid until the morning of 31st May 2007: Partly cloudy sky with possibility of dust storm/thunderstorm in some areas towards evening/night. The maximum temperature will be around 39C.
