Ranked 10, Chirag does city proud

Chirag Sethi of DAV Public School, Sector 8, has done the city proud by securing the 10th rank in the AIEEE results and the first position in the state list. The results were released last night. Gives purse snatcher a chase

Displaying grit and presence of mind, a Panjab University (PU) lecturer chased a scooter-borne miscreant, who attempted to snatch a purse of a girl in Sector 17 this afternoon. The miscreant managed to give him the slip. However, he managed to note down his registration number.

In a freak accident, a truck overturned while travelling between Ganeshpur village and Raipur Rani here yesterday. Truck driver Surinder was ferrying 10 persons of his family to Jalachpur village in Raipur Rani when the accident occurred, said Sub Inspector Satpal from the police station there.

Teachers given farewell

Staff of DAV Model School, Sector 15A, here, bid farewell to two of its seniormost teachers Aruna Bagga and Chanchal Bajaj. Both of them served the institution for nearly 37 years. During their tenure in the school, they were very popular amongst the children.
