Maoists behead two
Tribune News Service

Patna, May 31
In a virtual challenge to the claim by the Nitish government to have contained the naxal violence in Bihar to a great extent, about 100 armed Maoists yesterday dragged two JD(U) activists from their homes and slashed their throats killing them on the spot. The victims were allegedly acting as police informers.

The gruesome incident took place at Satgharwa village in Munger. Munger is among the 23 Maoist affected districts in Bihar of a total 38.

Police said that Maoist guerillas, including women, wearing army fatigues, stormed into the village and dragged out Ramchandra Yadav, Anil Yadav, Sambhu Yadav and Ranjan Kumar of the same family from their home.

Later the beheaded bodies of Ramchandra and Anil, said to be JD(U) workers, were found at an isolated place near the village.
