6 of family, taxi driver die in Kalka mishap
Kalka, June 2
In a tragic accident, six members of a family from Mandi Gobindgarh and the driver of their taxi died on the spot while four other persons sustained serious injuries, here today. The accident took place when the brakes of a truck coming from the same side failed and hit the car of the victims.

Youth jailed for poaching wild boar

Wildlife officials of Mohali and Ropar today arrested a 26-year-old youth on charges of poaching a wild boar. Darshan Singh, who has a history of poaching in this forest area, was arrested from his house at Kakot Majre village.

Workshop for radiographers begins tomorrow
