Big-B land deal
Law will take its course: Maya

Lucknow, June 3
In a guarded reaction over alleged irregularities in the purchase of land by Amitabh Bachchan in the state, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Mayawati said today that the law would take its course.

"Kanoon ke dayre mein rahkar action liya jayega," (action will be taken as per law), Mayawati told reporters here.

Bachchan is in the eye of a storm following a land deal in neighbouring Barabanki district which had been termed illegal by a court in Faizabad.

On the BSP's stand on the next President of the country, Mayawati said a decision would be taken within the next two-three days. — PTI
