Rainfall: Rain/thundershowers have occurred at a few places in Himachal Pradesh and Jammu and Kashmir and at isolated places in Punjab, east Rajasthan and Uttarakhand. Weather was mainly dry in the rest of the region. Himachal Pradesh: Berthin, Dhundhi and Jubbal have recorded 1 cm of rainfall each.

Temperature: The maximum temperatures fell in east Rajasthan and changed little elsewhere. They were appreciably above normal in Haryana, east Uttar Pradesh and Uttarakhand, above normal in Himahal Pradesh, Punjab and west Uttar Pradesh, appreciably below normal in Jammu and Kashmir and normal in the rest of the region. The highest temperature in the region was 46.2 degree celsius recorded at Varanasi.

Forecast valid until the morning of June 6: Rain/thundershowers are likely at a few places in Himachal Pradesh, Jammu and Kashmir and Uttarakhand. Dust storm/thundershowers likely at a few places in the rest of the region. Isolated thundersqualls are likely in Himachal Pradesh, Punjab, Rajasthan, Uttar Pradesh and Uttarakhand.

Outlook for the subsequent two days: No large change.
