Two commit suicide: Mohinder Verma (30) of Shergarh village in this subdivision and Saroj (20), daughter of Verma’s landlord, allegedly committed suicide in the Purani Abadi locality of Sriganganagar,40-km from here on Thursday. Shop looted: A masked miscreant allegedly looted cash from Kakdia Cloth House at Sadulshehar, 31 km from here on the Abohar-Hanumangarh road, on Thursday. Arrested: The local police arrested Veena and seized three-and-a-half kg opium from her possession in the Sherpur Police Station area of the district on Friday. The SSP said she used to smuggle opium from Rajasthan and pass it on to Tarsem Singh of Kauli village.
