Park Plaza management moves court Ludhiana, July 20 General Manager (finance) of the hotel D.K. Madan has filed application seeking action against the civic officials with a plea that they had intentionally violated the court’s order. Taking cognizance, the court has served notice to corporation officials for July 25. Court of Civil Judge (Senior Division) K.S. Cheema had directed the municipal corporation to maintain status-quo over the possession of the suit property except in due course of the law. The orders were passed in the injunction suit filed by the hotel management against municipal authorities for restraining them from constructing the service lane in front of their hotel. However, while carrying on the construction work the municipal authorities had maintained that they had constructed the service lane in due course of law. Terming the allegations as baseless, a senior corporation official said whatever they did was as per the law. There was nothing wrong in it and they would file suitable reply in the court. The service lane was constructed with a view to streamline the traffic flow, in the interests of the residents of the city, official added. |
