Rainfall: Rain/thundershowers occurred at many places in Himachal Pradesh, Jammu and Kashmir and Punjab, at a few places in Haryana, Rajasthan, west Uttar Pradesh and Uttaranchal and at isolated places in the rest of the region. The chief amounts of rainfall in cm are: Haryana: Dubwali (3), Julana and Rania (2 each) and Adampur, Ayanagar, Chirag Delhi, Dadri, Loharu, Hatin, Ratia, Guhla, Kalka,
Koshi and Uchana (1 each); HP: Barsar and Bangana (8 each), Jogindernagar and Nadaun (5 each), Baijnath, Bhoranj and Bhuntar (4 each), Karsog, Palampur and Una (3 each), Amb, Bharwain, Dharamsala, Keylong, Rohru and Udaipur (2 each) and Berthin, Guler, Ghamroor and Sangraha (1 each); J&K: Jammu and Patti (5 each), Katra (4); Punjab: Barnala, Nangal and Shahpurkandi (2 each) and Adampur, Ferozepore, Gurdaspur, Ludhiana and Moga (1 each); east Rajasthan: Banswara (9), Laxmangarh and Mandawar (8 each), Kesarpura and Sajangarh (6 each), Makrana and Shergarh (5 each), Arnod, Amer, Danpur, Kekri, Hurda, Malakhera, Chhotisadri and Shahpura (4 each), Bassi, Bagidora, Phulkalan, Parbatsar and Vijaynagar (3 each), Alwar, Neemrana, Garhi, Sallopat and Viratnagar (2 each) and Bansur, Niwai, Lalsot and Nasirabad (1 each); west Rajasthan: Sangaria (10), Pachpadra (7), Shiv (6), Nokha, Pungal and Sindri (2 each) and Barmer, Bhinmal, Jalore, Gudamalani, Pokran, Phalodi, Ramsar and Shergarh (1 each); east UP: Kanpur (2) and Lucknow (1); Uttaranchal: Rishikesh (4), Uttarkashi (3) and Dehradun (1).

Forecast valid until the morning of August 8: Rain/thundershowers at many places in HP, J&K and Rajasthan and southwest UP and at a few places in the rest of the region.

Heavy rainfall warning: Isolated heavy rain is likely in HP, J&K and east Rajasthan during the next 48 hours.

Outlook for the subsequent two days: Decrease in rainfall over the region outside south Rajasthan.

Forecast for Delhi and neighbourhood valid until the morning of August 8: Partly cloudy sky with possibility of rain/thundershowers in some areas.
