Rainfall: Rain/thundershowers have occurred at most places in Himachal Pradesh and Uttarakhand, at many places in east Uttar Pradesh, at a few places in Haryana, Jammu and Kashmir, Punjab and west Uttar Pradesh and at isolated places in the rest of the region.
The chief amounts of rainfall in cm are: Haryana: Tajewala 6, Kalka, Karnal and Naraingarh 5 each, Chhachhrauli and Sadaura 3 each, Ballbhgarh, Gharaunda and Samalkha 2 each and Hodal, Mustfabad, Panchkula and Thanesar 1 each; Himachal Pradesh: Dharamsala 33, Nadaun 28, Kasol and Mandi 17 each, Kandaghat 16, Guler and Pandoh 15 each, Barsar, Kasauli and Sujanpurtira 14 each, Sundernagar 12, Una 11, Paonta, Shimla and Sunibhaji 9 each, Berthin and Nagrotasurian 8 each, Jaten Barrage 7, Ghamroor 3 and Bhuntar and Rampur Bushahar 1 each; Jammu and Kashmir: Patti 2 and Basoli, Jammu and Katra 1 each; Punjab: Anandpur Sahib 11, Nangal 9, Derabassi, Ranjit Sagar Dam and Shahpur kandi 3 each, Madhopur 2 and Patiala 1.
Forecast valid until the morning of August 15: Rain/thundershowers will occur at a many places in Himachal Pradesh, Jammu and Kashmir, Uttarakhand, Uttar Pradesh, east Punjab and northeast Haryana and at a few places in the rest of the region outside Rajasthan where it may be isolated.
Heavy rainfall warning: Isolated heavy rain is likely in Himachal Pradesh, Jammu and Kashmir, Uttarakhand, east Punjab and northeast Haryana.
Outlook for the subsequent two days: Scattered to fairly widespread rainfall activity may continue over the region outside Rajasthan where it may be isolated.
