Rainfall: Rain/thundershowers have occurred at most places in Himachal Pradesh, east Uttar Pradesh and Uttarakhand, at many places in Jammu and Kashmir, at a few places in Punjab and at isolated places in Haryana, east Rajasthan and west Uttar Pradesh. Weather was dry in the rest of the region. The chief amounts of rainfall in cm are: Haryana: Chandigarh and Kalka 5 each and Naraingarh 3, Himachal Pradesh: Guler, Ghamroor and Pandoh 3 each, Kasol 2 and Chamba, Chaura, Kahu, Khairi, Surgani, Sujanpurtira, Sundernagar and Una 1 each, Jammu and Kashmir Batote, Bhoond and Udhampur 3 each, Bhaderwah and Katra 2 each and Kupwara, Pahalgam and Patti 1 each, Punjab: Nangal 2 and Madhopur and Shahpurkandi 1 each, east Uttar Pradesh: Turtipur 21, Katerniaghat 19, Bhinga 18, Regoli and Uskabazar 17 each, Basti and Gorakhpur 16 each, Birdghat 15, Kalkrahi 13, Kakardharighat 11, Gazipur 10, Bansi 9, Mukhlishpur 8, gomatia 77, Ballia Chandradeepghat and Gonda 6 each, Bahraich 5, Kanpur and Varanasi 4 each, Allahabad, Balrampur, Dalmau, Elginbridge and Shardanagar 3 each, Lucknow, Raebarilly and Varanasi City 2 each and Ayodhya, Chatnag, Fursatganj, Khadda, Mirzapur, Neemsar and Sultanpur 1 each and Uttarakhand: Hardwar 24, Kalagarh and Rishikesh 9 each, Banbasa 8, Marora 4, Dehradun 3 and Mukteshwar and Pantnagar 2 each.
