Rainfall: Rain/thundershowers have occurred at a few places in Uttarakhand and at isolated places in the rest of the region. The chief amounts of rainfall in cm are: Himachal Pradesh: Amb 1; Jammu and Kashmir: Jammu 2; Uttarakhand: Dehra Dun 5 and Kalagarh 2.

Forecast valid until the morning of August 29: Rain/thundershowers will occur at many places in east Uttar Pradesh and Uttarakhand, at a few places in Haryana, Himachal Pradesh, Jammu and Kashmir, and at isolated places in the rest of the region.

Heavy rainfall warning: Isolated heavy rain is likely in Uttarakhand during the next 48 hours.

Outlook for the subsequent two days: Increase in rainfall activity over the region.

Forecast for Delhi and neighbourhood valid until the morning of August 29: Generally cloudy sky with possibility of rain/thundershowers. A wet spell of moderate rain/thundershowers for two days may occur over Delhi with effect from 29.
