Rainfall: Rain/thundershowers have occurred at many places in Himachal Pradesh, at a few places in Uttarakhand and at isolated places in the rest of the region.

The chief amounts of rainfall in cm are: Haryana: New Delhi (Safdarjung) 5 and Bhiwani 4, Himachal Pradesh: Nalagarh 11, Palampur 7, Baijnath 6, Bangana and Bhang 5 each, Dharamsala and Gohar 4 each, Dharampur, Ghumarwin, Solan and Sujanpurtira 3 each, Jogindernagar and Pandoh 2 each and Barsar, Bhoranj, Bharwain, Kasauli, Kotkhai and Karsog 1 each, Jammu and Kashmir: Basoli 2, east Rajasthan: Bagore, Bijolia, Bhopalsagar, Devgarh, Dariabad and Hamirgarh 3 each, Amet, Aklera, Beawar, Bhainsroadgarh, Chittorgarh, Girva, Kelwara, Khanpur, Kapasan, Manoharthana, Pindwara and Udaipur City 2 each and Bheem, Degana, Didwana, Kesarpura, Ragarh, Srinagar and Sangod 1 each, west Rajasthan: Fatehgarh 2 and Marwar Junction 1, east Uttar Pradesh: Ayodhya 2 and Ballia, Balrampur, Mohana, Palliakalan and Uskabazar 1 each, west Uttar Pradesh: Moradabad 2 and Uttarakhand: Hardwar, Joshimath and Uttarkashi 1 each.

Forecast valid until the morning of September 5: Rain/thundershowers will occur at many places in Himachal Pradesh, Uttar Pradesh and Uttarakhand and likely at a few places in Haryana, Punjab and east Rajasthan and at isolated places in the rest of the region.

Heavy rainfall warning: Isolated heavy rain is likely in Himachal Pradesh, east Uttar Pradesh and Uttarakhand during the next 48 hours.

Outlook for the subsequent two days: Scattered to fairly wide spread rainfall activity in Himachal Pradesh, Uttar Pradesh and Uttarakhand may continue. No large change in the rest of the region.

Forecast for Delhi and neighbourhood valid until the morning of September 5: Partly cloudy sky with possibility of rain/thundershowers in some areas.
