Rainfall: Rain/thundershowers have occurred at isolated places in Himachal Pradesh, east Uttar Pradesh and Uttarakhand. Weather was dry in the rest of the region. The chief amounts of rainfall in cm are: Himahal Pradesh: Rampurbushahar 1, East Uttar Pradesh: Fursatganj 5, Varanasi City. 4, Raebareilly 3 and Ballia 1.

Temperature: The maximum temperatures fell in Himachal Pradesh and change little elsewhere. They were above normal in Haryana, east Rajasthan and Uttarakhand and normal in the rest of the region. The highest temperature in the region was 37.3C recorded at Barmer (Rajasthan).

The minimum temperatures changed little. They were appreciably below normal in Jammu and Kashmir, below normal in Haryana and Punjab, above normal in Uttar Pradesh and normal in the rest of the region. The lowest temperature in the plains was 13.8C recorded at Adampur (Punjab).

Forecast valid until the morning of October 8: Isolated rain/thundershowers are likely in Himachal Pradesh, Jammu and Kashmir, east Uttar Pradesh and Uttarakhand. Weather will be mainly dry in the rest of the region.

Outlook for the subsequent two days: Increase in rainfall activity in east Uttar Pradesh.

Forecast for Delhi and neighbourhood valid until the morning of October 8: Mainly clear sky. The maximum and minimum temperatures will be around 35C and 19C, respectively.

Farmers weather bulletin for Delhi: Forecast valid until the morning of October 8: Sky will be mainly clear.

Outlook for the subsequent two today: No large change.
