Rainfall: Rain/snow has occurred at many places in Uttarakhand, at a few places in Himachal Pradesh and at isolated places in Jammu and Kashmir. Rain/thundershowers have occurred at many places in east Uttar Pradesh. Weather was dry in the rest of the region.

Temperature: The maximum temperatures fell appreciably in Himachal Pradesh, fell in east Uttar Pradesh and changed little elsewhere. They were above normal in Uttarakhand and normal in the rest of the region. The highest temperature in the region was 37.2C recorded at Barmer (Rajasthan).

The minimum temperatures rose in Haryana and Punjab, fell in Uttarakhand and changed little elsewhere. They were appreciably below normal in Jammu and Kashmir and west Rajasthan and normal in the rest of the region. The lowest temperature in the plains was 11.3C recorded at Narnaul (Haryana).

Forecast valid until the morning of October 18: Rain/snow is likely at a few places in Himachal Pradesh and Uttarakhand and at isolated places in Jammu and Kashmir. Rain/thundershowers are likely at a few places in east Uttar Pradesh and at isolated places in Haryana, Punjab and west Uttar Pradesh. Weather will be mainly dry in the rest of the region. Isolated thunder squalls are likely in Haryana, Himachal Pradesh, Punjab, Uttar Pradesh and Uttarakhand.

Outlook for the subsequent two days: Mainly dry weather.

Forecast for Delhi and neighbourhood valid until the morning of October 18: Mainly clear sky likely to become partly cloudy with possibility of thundry development in some areas. The maximum and minimum temperatures will be around 33C and 19C, respectively.

Farmers weather bulletin for Delhi: forecast valid until the morning of October 18: Development of thunder clouds likely at a few places.

Outlook for the subsequent two days: Mainly dry weather.
