Rainfall: Weather was dry over the region.

Temperature: The maximum temperatures changed little. They were above normal in Jammu and Kashmir and Rajasthan and normal in the rest of the region. The lowest temperature in the region was 37.8 C recorded at Barmer (Rajasthan).

The minimum temperatures rose in east Rajasthan and changed little elsewhere. They were below normal in east Uttar Pradesh and normal in the rest of the region. The lowest temperature in the plains was 12.5 C recorded at Sarsawa (Utrar Pradesh).

Forecast valid until the morning of 23rd October 2007: Rain/snow is likely at isolated places in Himachal Pradesh, Jammu and Kashmir and Uttaranchal. Weather will be mainly dry in the rest of the region. Outlook for the subsequent two days: Mainly be mainly dry.

Forecast for Delhi and neighbourhood valid until the morning of 23rd October 2007: Mainly clear sky. The maximum temperatures will be around 33C and 16C respectively.
