Srinagar, November 27
Unexpected foggy weather has rendered the air traffic to and from the valley topsy-turvy and only one flight could take off today while 13 had to be cancelled. Extreme cold conditions claimed one life in Kathua district. Amru, who slept on the pavement of a shop at Gura Kalai in Billawar tehsil last night, was found dead in the morning.

Srinagar airport director Rakesh Kalra told The Tribune that the Delhi-Srinagar-Mecca Haj flight managed to land in Srinagar after hovering around for close to an hour due to poor visibility. It managed to take off at around 2.40 pm and remained the only flight of the day to head from the airport.
