Rainfall: Weather was dry over the region.

Temperature: The minimum temperatures fell appreciably in east Uttar Pradesh, fell in Haryana and west Uttar Pradesh and changed little elsewhere.

They were appreciably below normal in Haryana and Jammu and Kashmir, below normal in Himachal Pradesh, Punjab, Rajasthan, west Uttar Pradesh and Uttaranchal and normal in the rest of the region.

The lowest minimum temperature in the plains was 0.9 C recorded at Churu (Rajasthan).

Forecast valid until the morning of December 18: Weather will be mainly dry over the region.

Low temperature warning: Ground frost is likely at a few places in Haryana, Punjab, North Rajasthan and northwest Uttar Pradesh during the next two nights.

Outlook for the subsequent two days: A fresh western disturbance is likely to approach north Pakistan and adjoining Jammu and Kashmir on December 19 under its influence isolated to scattered rain/snow may occur in Jammu and Kashmir, Himachal Pradesh and Uttaranchal, mainly dry weather over rest of the region.

Night temperature are likely to increase by 02 C to 03 C over the region and cold wave conditions will abate.

Forecast for Delhi and neighbourhood valid until the morning of December 18: Mainly clear sky. Mist in the morning. The minimum temperature will be around 03 C.
