New Delhi, January 22
Pakistan Prime Minister Yousuf Raza Gilani today wished Prime Minister Manmohan Singh good health by sending him a bouquet and a get-well message. The PM was, meanwhile, discharged from AIIMS early in the morning and was back at work from his 7, Race Course residence office. He, however, did not take any appointments today and engaged in light work.

Earlier, the PM had a complete medical examination by the experts and the multi-disciplinary team being led by his personal physician Dr K Srinath Reddy, who confirmed to the media the reports of PM’s discharge. “The PM is hale and hearty and back home,” Dr Reddy said.

His health would, however, have to be watched closely, with the UPA sources today indicating that any medical intervention that is recommended will be taken only after the Republic Day function in the capital. But before that, the PM will meet visiting Kazakh President Nursultan Nazarbayev, who is the chief guest for the Republic Day event. The PM, it is learnt, will attend the function subject to his medical condition; he may curtail his presence at the event if he is not feeling too well, government sources said.

Yesterday, PM Manmohan Singh had undergone coronary angiography, a special X-ray of the coronary arteries that don’t show up on a plain X-ray.
