Workshop on miniature paintings

A four-day workshop on "Miniature paintings", being organised by the Punjabi University's department of fine arts began here today with the objective of drawing miniature paintings based on various themes of Guru Granth Sahib. The workshop is being conducted under the supervision of Prof MK Sharma, director, Jawahar Kala Kendra, and a former principal of Art College, Jaipur, and his team as a part of the Tercentenary celebrations of Guruta Gaddi Divas.

DAV-8 and GNPS-36 after winning their respective semifinal matches registered final berth in the Inter-School Cricket Tournament for boys’ u-19 for Advisor’s Cup.
In the first semifinal of the day, DAV-8 got the better of GMSSS-35 by 18 runs here at the Sector 16 Cricket Stadium. DAV School, who after wining the toss elected to bat first, didn’t have a good start, as their openers failed to perform today. However, their strong middle order sailed the team to a respectable total. |
