4 youths snatch bag containing Rs 5.2 lakh

Four assailants attacked a 34-year-old shopkeeper at Kitchlu Nagar late last night and snatched cash worth Rs 5.2 lakh after injuring him badly.
The shopkeeper, Vinay Jain, having a cosmetics shop in Gur Mandi, had closed his shop for the day and was going home.

Subscribers in a fix as BSNL withdraws ‘95’ facility

Confusion prevails among subscribers as Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSNL) has withdrawn its “95” facility. The subscribers have been left in a lurch, as they are unable to connect the numbers within the state. The BSNL will provide STD free of cost to each of its subscriber, but the facility has not been updated till date.

City bodybuilder clinches c’ship

Local lad Charan Kamal has brought laurels to the city by winning the Punjab State Amateur Bodybuilding championship held at Shanker Nakodar village.
The championship was organised by the Punjab State Amateur Bodybuilding Association under the aeges the Indian Bodybuilding Federation at the World Health Club.
Before winning the overall championship, Charan Kamal, clinched the first spot in the 65- 75 kg weight category.

Threeke village win kabaddi title
