Boy rescued from atop flyover after 4 hours
Ludhiana, March 24
A 14-year-old boy was rescued amid chaos by the police here today. The incident took place this afternoon when the boy got stuck in a gap between the flyover and a pillar when he tried to catch a pigeon.

Proclaimed offender held
Mandi Ahmedgarh, March 24
The police has arrested a proclaimed offender who, along with his parents, was booked under Sections 498-B, 406 and 120-B of the IPC and the Dowry Act about a year ago.

2 doctors booked for death by negligence
Raikot, March 24
Two doctors were today booked for a death reportedly caused by negligence. A male nurse and a female nurse of the hospital have also been booked under the same charges.

Tuberculosis remains a major health problem in India with 1.8 million people getting infected with the disease every year. TB was one of the leading causes of mortality in India that killed two persons every three minutes, nearly 1,000 every day and the number of women was much higher, said Dr Akashdeep Singh, senior pulmonologist at SPS Apollo Hospital, Ludhiana.
