Family hurt in accident:
A Ludhiana-based family was injured when their car was hit by a truck near Doraha. The victims were residents of Shimlapuri here and were on their way from to Khanna when their car met with the accident. The car was being driven by Ravinder Mohan, who was travelling with his wife and son. His son, Tarun Mohan, received a fracture in the arm and was undergoing treatment at a city hospital.



Traffic workshop
:The Chandigarh traffic police organised a traffic awareness workshop at New Public School, Sector 18, here today. As many as 300 students participated. The UT SP (traffic) HS Doon, DSP (traffic) Jasbir Singh Cheema and Poonam Dilawari gave tips on safe driving.

15-yr-old girl  abducted: A domestic help at a house in Sector 27 complained to the police that her 15-year-old daughter has been abducted from the same sector yesterday.  Complainant Seeta Devi alleged that her daughter, who was also working as a domestic help in another house of Sector 27, had been missing since two days. She alleged that a boy used to ring her daughter daily and she suspected the same boy had abducted her. A case has been registered under the Sections 363, 366 of the IPC at the Sector 26 police station.
