45-yr-old man clubbed to death

A 45-year-old man was bludgeoned to death by his sister-in-law at Khanpur village here today. The deceased has been identified as Parsand Singh, who succumbed to injuries at a hospital this afternoon.

Man killed in accident
Khamano, May 14
A motorcycle rider, identified as Roorh Singh(50), was killed in a road accident near the railway bridge today. The deceased, a resident of Sanghol, was going on his motorcycle (PB 23 B 2698) but when he reached near the railway bridge his motorcycle suddenly slipped and he fell down and sustained serious head injuries. A police party brought him to Khamano civil hospital where doctors gave first aid and then referred him to the PGI Chandigarh where he died due to his serious head injuries. —OC

Guru Nanak school, RS Model win

Guru Nanak International Senior Secondary School and R S Model Senior Secondary School, Shastri Nagar, won in the boy's section on the opening day of the 12th edition of the four-day Ludhiana District Softball Championship, organised at the Ramgarhia Educational Complex, Miller Ganj, today. In the inaugural match, R S Model drubbed BCM Senior Secondary School with focal point 15-5. The second match between Guru Nanak International and Guru Nanak Model Senior Secondary School, Dholewal, the former won by 12-1. —OSR
