Misbehaviour by councillor
DC ‘awaits’ complaint, tehsildars cry foul

A day after tehsildars protested against misbehaviour by a councillor, the controversy turned murkier today with the Deputy Commissioner saying he had not received any complaint, while the tehsildars insisting that they had submitted a complaint to the official in writing.

Give autonomy to state education council: Bureaucrat

Expressing concern over the deteriorating state of education in Punjab, senior IAS officer RC Nayar has suggested that the State Council for Education Research and Training be made autonomous as “a society to take care of all district institutes of education training, five telescopic in-service training centres and all other types of training institutes for teachers”.
