Married woman hangs herself

The police today found a 28-year-old married woman hanging in her rented house at Sherpur here today. The deceased had been identified as Kavita Devi and the case was allegedly stated to be of suicide.

Rail booking at post office yet to take off

Six booked for land possession

The Sudhar police has booked six persons for forcibly possessing shamlat, common village land, on Wednesday night. Balbir Singh of Halwara village, near here, complaint to the police that accused Daljit, Surjit, Bhajan, Surjit Kaur and Sarabjit Kaur, from Halwara village, and Paramjit of Bhaini Arraian village had tried to forcibly occupy the village panchayat land by putting a wall on it.
