Woman’s Abduction
5 held, stolen vehicle recovered

With the arrest of a gang of four persons, along with another individual, the CIA-I police claimed to have solved the case of car theft in which the accused first abducted a woman from VLCC in broad daylight and then pushed her out of the moving vehicle near West End Mall on the Ferozepur road on May 30.

24x7 medicine store at civil hospital

Following an initiative taken by the Punjab Ministry of Health and Family Welfare and the Ministry of Chemicals and Fertilisers, Government of India, 24X7 drug store with generic medicines “jan aushadhi” was inaugurated on the premises of Civil Hospital here today. Prof Laxmikanta Chawla, Punjab Minister for Health and Family Welfare, inaugurated the store, which is the fourth of its kind in the state.

‘CM must act on menacing quacks’
