In yet another accident on the Khanna-Nawanshehar road, a 24-year-old youth from Nawanshehar was killed today. A five-year-old girl, who was going towards Delhi with her family members, was killed yesterday and five other family members received serious injuries on this road.

Efforts to strengthen production of nursery plants of kinnow
Ludhiana, July 6
Kinnow occupies the major place in the citrus industry of Punjab with an area of around 32,000 hectares and producing about six lakh tonnes of fruit in the state. “It is mostly consumed fresh for table purpose and is even exported from Punjab to different states of India as well as to countries like Sri Lanka, Gulf and middle-east countries,” said Dr JS Bal, head, department of horticulture.
