Obesity & diabetes
Obesity
and diabetes might not be the double whammy, according to a fresh look
at older studies. Researchers found that overweight and obese people
who get diagnosed with the blood sugar disorder tend to live longer
than their leaner peers. Another study says weight training, not just
cardio workouts, is linked to a lower risk of developing diabetes.
"We all know that aerobic exercise is beneficial for diabetes but
no studies have looked at weight training," says Dr Frank Hu of
the Harvard School, Boston.
Honey may ease coughing
A spoon of honey before
bed may help kids with a cough sleep better, a new study suggests.
Parents also reported that after giving honey to kids, their coughing
was less frequent and less severe. —
