TELEVISION
A wild journey
Animal Planet is
bringing the zoo to every child’s home. Animal Planet A-Z
every night at 10 pm will bring to the TV screens one
animal a week
for the next one year. From ferocious hunters to the calm herbivores,
this 52-weeks programming line-up will traverse viewers into the
thrilling world of wild. Featuring from the all-too-familiar animals
like dogs, monkeys and elephants, it goes on to provide valuable
insight into the world of more complex animals like hyenas, anacondas,
jaguars and grizzlies. Each week will encapsulate the animal’s
habitat and nature. However, wild animals do not occupy the whole
list, as the programmes will also include creatures like fish, insects
and monstrous bugs found in the forests. A great learning experience
for children though 10 pm is not the best time to air this
kid-oriented show. — NF
