North Korea declares 'state of war' with South Korea
Pyongyang, March 30 (ANI): North Korea has declared that it has entered into a state of war with South Korea a day after putting its forces on standby ready to strike South Korean and U.S. targets. It has also warned Seoul and Washington that any provocation would swiftly escalate into an all-out nuclear conflict.
Anna ready to launch agitation against UPA, calls for mass movement
New Delhi, March 30 (ANI): Veteran social activist Anna Hazare, who left for Amritsar to begin a series of public rallies under the banner of 'Janatantra Yatra' to garner people's support against the Congress-led UPA Government, on Saturday, said that the country can witness a change only through a mass movement. Police hand over bodies of Maoists to their kin in Chatra Chatra, March 30 (ANI): Police at Chatra district in Jharkhand handed over the bodies of ten dreaded Maoist leaders who were killed in a gun-battle with its splinter group to their relatives. The ultras were killed in a clash with Tritiya Prastuti Committee (TPC), a rival splinter group of the Maoists, at Lakramanda forest in Chatra district 100 kms north of Ranchi on Wednesday.
Funeral procession for SP after LS Polls: Beni Prasad Verma Balrampur, March 30 (ANI): Union Steel Minister Beni Prasad Verma who recently triggered a political furore by accusing SP chief Mulayam Singh Yadav of having "links with terrorists", has fired a fresh salvo against Mulayam.
