6-year-old sexually assaulted, left with slit throat in public toilet in Delhi New Delhi, April 27 (ANI): A six-year-old girl was found sexually assaulted and bleeding from wounds all over her body in a men's public toilet in Delhi's Badarpur area on Friday, ten days after a five-year-old girl was brutalized and raped in the national capital, putting the spotlight on rampant child abuse. Police said the child underwent a surgery at AIIMS and her condition is stable.
Akhilesh cancels NY consulate reception following insult to Azam Khan New Delhi, April 27 (ANI): Expressing his annoyance over his senior minister Azam Khan's detention at Boston Airport, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav has cancelled a reception that was to be hosted in his honour by New York Consul General Dnyaneshwar Mulay. Bangladesh Building Collapse: 2 owners arrested as toll rises to 325 Dhaka, April 27 (ANI): Two factory owners were arrested in Bangladesh on Saturday, 72 hours after the deadly collapse of a building where low-cost garments were made for Western brands, as the death toll rose to 325 and angry workers protested on the streets of the capital. The owner of the eight-storey building that fell like a pack of cards when around more than 3,000 workers was still on the run. Police said two of his relatives had been detained to compel him to hand himself in, and an alert had gone out to airport and border authorities to prevent him from fleeing the country.
