Pakistan elections: Nawaz Sharif claims victory as vote counting underway
Lahore/Peshawar, May 12 (ANI): Toppled in a coup, jailed and later exiled, Nawaz Sharif made a triumphant comeback 14 years later in Pakistan's election and on Sunday was heading for a third term as Pakistan's prime minister. Sharif, declared victory in a jubilant speech to supporters as results from Saturday's election showed an overwhelming lead for his party.



Bansal defends his decision to quit, says he has done no wrong
Chandigarh/New Delhi, May 12 (ANI): Two days after he was literally ousted from the post of Railway Minister over a bribery row involving his nephew, Pawan Kumar Bansal on Sunday defended his decision to quit. Bansal insisted that he had done no wrong and that he had no business relationship with his nephew, Vijay Singla.



BJP youth wing protests outside PMs residence, demands his resignation
New Delhi, May 12 (ANI): Activists of the Bharatiya Janata Yuva Morcha (BJYM), the student wing of the opposition Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) staged vociferous protests outside Prime Minister Manmohan Singh's official 7, Racecourse Road residence on Sunday.
