11 cops jailed for 22-yr-old encounter
Bathinda, January 10
A local court on Friday held 11 Punjab policemen guilty of killing a fireman deployed at an ammunition depot in Bathinda Cantt in a fake encounter 22 years ago.
Additional Sessions Judge MPS Pahwa held 11 policemen guilty of killing 30-year-old Paramjit Singh. The quantum of sentence would be pronounced on January 14.

Dawood Ibrahim was in Pakistan and joint efforts with the US were being
made to nab him, said Union Home Minister Sushilkumar Shinde while
addressing his monthly press conference today. "As per our
information, Dawood is in Pakistan. We (India and the US) have decided
to share whatever information we have about him. We have decided to make
joint efforts," Shinde said.
