India likely to get BRICS Bank presidency
* Each member country to have equal shareholding
* Bank may be headquartered in Shanghai

The BRICS summit, Prime Minister Narendra Modi's first multilateral engagement, commenced here on Tuesday amid an understanding that the five member nations will have equal shareholding in the proposed $50 billion BRICS Development Bank presidency of which is likely to go to India first.

Govt says no plan to repeal Art 370

The government has no proposal to repeal Article 370 of the Constitution that grants special status to Jammu and Kashmir, the Lok Sabha was informed today. "No" was the reply of Minister of State for Home Kiren Rijiju to a written question by TMC member Saugata Roy on whether the government has any proposal to repeal Article 370.

Forget notary, now self-attested documents will do at govt offices

In what may come as a major relief to citizens, the government has decided to do away with the necessity of filing affidavits from a gazetted officer or a notary for a big chunk of government-related work and instead to promote self-attestation of documents.
