Govt
says no plan to repeal Art 370
New Delhi, July 15
The government has no proposal to
repeal Article 370 of the Constitution that grants special status to
Jammu and Kashmir, the Lok Sabha was informed today. "No" was
the reply of Minister of State for Home Kiren Rijiju to a written
question by TMC member Saugata Roy on whether the government has any
proposal to repeal Article 370.

notary, now self-attested documents will do at govt offices

In what may come as a major relief
to citizens, the government has decided to do away with the necessity of
filing affidavits from a gazetted officer or a notary for a big chunk of
government-related work and instead to promote self-attestation of
documents.

on, SYL canal issue hangs fire

With Haryana politicians
joining hands on the Sutlej Yamuna Link (SYL) canal and seeking
Centre�s intervention to get it completed, the issue is back to
the fore after a gap of 10 years when the Punjab Assembly had
passed Punjab Termination of Agreements Act 2004 to avoid the
completion of the canal in its territory.
